Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 is a first person action role play game set in the World of Darkness. Fight your way through a modern Seattle, earn new abilities that allow you tackle levels in various different way.

The conversation and ability choices you make affect your route through the game, across both linear and open world areas. Take advantage of immersive sim mechanics and gameplay to progress the story.

Engage in conversations as well as Vampire Stalking in order to progress through the skill tree.

 

Responsibilities

Lead Design on the project, responsible for several core game play features including the games title feature - the Masquerade system. Worked closely with the Game Director to bring the open world areas of the game to life taking ownership of this entire section of the game. Additionally, took lead on the Menu and UI design as well as several of the Immersive Sim features.

  • Design overview, documentation and planning.

  • Game system design including the Masquerade System, the open world and its AI, and moment to moment gameplay within that area.

  • Menu Design and structure including Accessibility.

  • Player Progression and levelling system. mechanics, and design.

  • Gameplay and system implementation and balancing.

  • Took ownership of, reviewed, and lead the teams responsible for the UI, Open World, and several Core Mechanics.
